FLI Founder's Scholarships
One $50 scholarship will be awarded to the FLI teacher that retains the same 6 or more students during spring semester as documented by perfect attendance. In the event of a tie, the award will go first to the teacher with the most students enrolled followed by the highest GPA for that semester.
Three $25 scholarships go to MSU students
that demonstrate impeccable writing mastery of either Amharic, Sri
Lankan or Tibetan scripts. The award will go to the student who makes no
more than one mistake. Event held at the end of fall term.
One
$25 scholarship goes to the MSU student that recognizes the highest
number of different spoken languages out of approximately 100 languages.
Event held at the end of fall term.
Four $25 scholarships go to FLI students with scores of 95% and
above each on FLI basic proficiency tests in Arabic, Chinese, Farsi, or
Urdu at the end of each academic year. In the event of a tie, the award
will go to the student of each language with the highest GPA for the
current term.
